dear sir,
[symptom] can't wake-up system in sleep mode, , when press power button, system force restart
it has failure rate: 3/10
this issue can reproduce in many intel chipset, intel x99, b250, z270
steps: s3/s4 → wakeup usb mouse → press power button → force system restart
try following troubleshooting steps asus suggestions, still not work:
1、disable fast startup option in "control panel"
2、confirm erp ready setting disabled in bios setting
3、confirm usb keyboard can wakeup system in sleep mode
4、disable ‘intel(r) management engine interface’

1. windows 10x64 rs2/rs3
2. asus x99- ws/ipmi (intel x99)
3. intel management engine interface driver version: 11.0.0.1172 (use windows update, says it's best suitable driver version )

this issue sleep mode can caused bios settings , software conflicts.
since issue still persists after performing troubleshooting steps, try run windows power troubleshooter can helpful in resolving issue:
- go control panel.
- in control panel search box, type troubleshooting.
- select troubleshooting.
- under system , security, select improve power usage.
- enter administrator credentials if prompted.
- click next to run troubleshooter.
