Recent Windows 10 Update Rendered my Brightness Irreversible - Microsoft Community

operating system: windows 10 64x bit

type of laptop: hp pavilion 15

graphics card: intel(r) hd graphics 5500

the recent windows 10 update has made screen's brightness irreversible. keyboard brightness keys don't alter brightness, nor updating drivers or generic pnp monitor allow me change brightness. generic pnp monitor enabled in first place, , not disabled, therefore can't re-enable articles have suggested. in display options on settings, brightness menu doesn't come up, it's gone. when click on battery icon, brightness option 0% , shaded in gray, meaning can't access or change via battery icon. don't know do, fine yesterday night, until installed recent update windows 10, turned laptop on today, , met annoying issue. i've done several youtube videos , articles have suggested, none of them have seemed work. don't know do, , if me in situation, or provide advice of sort, please reply.
