i have swapped cpu in desktop computer. first time turned on stayed few seconds, turned off again. turned on again , blue error screen came up. have had various error codes each time i've tried things, problem seems 1 of system32 files either missing or corrupted. (codes: 0xc0000221, 0xc0000001, others didn't catch.)

i have read various guides , have created recovery drive another windows 10 pc. after waiting created found out can't used recover desktop because have different drivers , not work.

i not bothered reinstalling windows, except fact have lot of personal files on hardrive, of i'm there 1 copy of, don't want deleted. there way restore system without affecting personal files? plug hardrive pc , remove things don't want deleted before performing clean install of windows 10?

the errors received might due serious problem in driver or other damaged system files on computer. out concern, recommend reset computer. resetting lets choose keep files or remove them, , reinstall windows 10.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
