PDFs Will Not Display in Browsers - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have been having problem viewing pdfs in browser. occurring multiple people in office well.

what happens go website has pdfs , pdf start loading in browser, stuck @ around 90-99% , timeout (depending on browser) happen 99% of pdfs on site (tested on 3 sites).

this occurs in ie, edge, chrome, , firefox. regardless of whether or not reader or acrobat installed.

- internet explorer shows loading bar , gets stuck @ 95-99% complete (ex. "loading 233.5kb/234.8kb") , not timeout.

- edge sits there grey screen , small blue loading bar along top stops moving , nothing else

- chrome display "failed load pdf try again" message. few times able pdf load using "try again" option

- firefox loads bit , times out "connection reset" screen

if try download/save pdf page times out while trying download page.

we windows 10 environment.

here's few things have tried:

- changing reader/browser settings resetting browser

- trying different versions of programs

- reimaging pc

- updating pc

- putting pc on anniversary , creator build

- putting freshly imaged pc on external network

- adjusting firewall , other security settings

- run browser in incognito\private

- open site in safe mode networking

all of has been done multiple times on 3 different pcs, issue remains. image tested 1 installed using microsoft's media creation toolkit. out of reimages/resets have had pdfs open reliably on 1 laptop unknown reasons since it's model , usb image used same other test pc.

currently running sfc , chkdsk out of desperation.

any appreciated.
