Can't access internet setting from account - Microsoft Community

hi, quite strange problem , haven't been able find it.

while now, (can't remember since when, sorry) cannot view or edit internet settings pc. these windows 10 settings "settinngs" app, rather control panel, think. starters, wifi/internet icon down on right side of start bar gone. when head settings > network & internet, tells me i'm not connected (even if have internet) , not show me of connections know should available. when click "show available networks", small grey box appears nothing flight mode option. screenshot probebly better job of explaining do: http://oi63.tinypic.com/2u4pj50.jpg

thing is; pc can connect internet, since i'm using right now. plus, if log out, settings right there in login screen. btw account on pc , administrator.

i'm sorry if i'm missing vital info; dont post on forums. im using windows 10 , updated far know. in advance

hi,

missing network icon on task bar , inaccessible settings might have caused corrupted update installation. sort issue, suggest perform system restore. option takes pc earlier point in time. please follow steps given on article: recovery options in windows 10. click on restore system restore point drop down view steps.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
