Why can't Bluetooth devices connect? - Microsoft Community

having problems connecting devices bluetooth using windows 10.

motherboard asus z270e built in bluetooth turned on in bios , windows has latest updates.

bluetooth detects devices have tried:

- bluetooth soundbar
- samsung galaxy s5 & tab s2
- microsoft wireless controller

when click connect says connecting around 1 minute before giving message - "couldn't connect. try connecting again."

have tried windows 10 bluetooth fixes when searching google. e.g. turning bluetooth , devices on , off, uninstalling drivers , reinstalling, checking bluetooth services running in services.msc etc ....

thought motherboard problem. contacted asus said update drivers latest ... did still same problem.

found old bluetooth dongle had old pc , installed still same problem. bought brand new dongle , arrived other day. installed problem still persists.

ideas what's going on?

hi,

for provide possible resolution , accurate information why you're having issue, answer following questions:

  • when did issue start?
  • were there changes made on computer prior concern?

just in case haven't tried using windows 10 bluetooth troubleshooter, see instructions in link (refer how can try automatically fix common bluetooth problems?).
