====

utility makes easy see versions loaded :

run driverview - set view hide microsoft drivers - update without dump in names (and update bios , chipset drivers).

driverview - free - utility displays list of device drivers loaded on system. each driver in list, additional useful information displayed: load address of driver, description, version, product name, company created driver, , more.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

drivers check system maker fallbacks , device maker's current. right click start button - device manager - display adapter - write down make , complete model of video adapter - double click - driver's tab - write down version info. click update driver (this may not ms far behind certifying drivers) - right click - uninstall - reboot refresh driver stack.

repeat network - network card (nic), wifi, sound, mouse , keyboard if 3rd party own software , drivers , other major device drivers have.

go system maker's site (dell, hp, toshiba examples) (as rollback) , device maker's site (realtek, intel, nvidia, ati examples) , latest versions. (look bios, chipset, , software updates @ system maker's site while there.)

download - save - go put them - right click - run ad admin - reboot after each installation.

check in device manager - drivers tab sure version installing shows up. because drivers rollback before latest installed (sound drivers particularly this) install driver - reboot - check sure installed , repeat needed.

repeat @ device makers - btw @ device makers not run scanner - check manually model.

manually @ manufacturer's sites drivers - , device maker's sites.
