Unable to open windows settings or run any windows apps or start menu - Microsoft Community

hello,

i updated new windows 10 build today , broke display (edges zoomed in) , unable update drivers or go display settings on display drivers chose restore earlier build. did , there no issues during reversion. when logged pc able see screen properly, after trying go settings attempt update display driver realized unable open settings @ all. restarted pc after see if fix , made no change.

can't open start menu, can't run windows apps, , can't open windows settings.
opened powershell , ran /sfc scannow showed no corrupted files.
able open start menu lose ability try run windows apps/open windows settings or open display driver settings.
if try open settings or open windows apps (windows calculator, calendar, etc) makes can't click in square on left side of screen-i loading wheel there's window that's stuck trying open (thus square).

have no idea can't update pc, can't try , restore, can't try , change settings or anything.

pc asus z-170a motherboard, intel 17 6700k, , amd radeon rx 470, windows 10 home edition 64 bit.

in rare cases, specific update might temporarily cause unusual behavior device. concern, recommend start pc in safe mode , see if issue persists. helps further isolate issue starting windows using limited sets of drivers , services. you'll know basic drivers , default settings aren't culprit if issue doesn't occur in safe mode. so, please follow steps provided on from sign-in screen section of link.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
