My mouse cursor/pointer disappears when I unplug my wired USB - Microsoft Community

my cursor disappears when unplug wired usb mouse, reappears , works fine when plug wired usb mouse in. touchpad doesn't work @ all, regardless of whether usb mouse plugged in or not.

i have rog asus gl752vw, , it's worked fantastic on year now. touchpad/backlit keyboard have had issues before, windows update, asus live update, have fixed issues.

this time, however, says have latest version, , supposedly working fine.

what i've figured out far believe i'm missing "asus touchpad" driver under "mice , other pointing devices", since whenever unplug usb mouse, 'mice , other painted devices' gone (and comes if plug in).

i've tried downloading asustek's atkpackage, , smart gesture. i've tried installing them in different orders. i'm genuinely out of ideas. thing can think of either reset laptop, i'd rather not have do.. or wait future update that'll end fixing whatever went wrong.

just fyi, working morning, , didn't download between , touchpad issues.

some news,

i ended having use technical/hardware failure protection warranty @ micro center, luckily covered touchpad getting replaced. works great now. turns out issue physical touchpad, not hardware or corruption.

i appreciate replies @aileenalf , @johnado.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
