Trouble starting Network Location Awareness Repost - Microsoft Community

hi,

i running windows 10 pro. trying restart network location awareness , dependent services. 1079 error when try restart or start properties dialog. dependent services 1068 error. hoping find out how edit registry these services. no longer connected network, still have internet.

if knows how repair problem, please help.

originally had been trying find out why couldn't see laptop in network in explorer.

sorry account change - reason couldn't sign in original account. made new one.

for network location awareness message follows:

windows not start network location awareness service on local computer

error 1079 account specified service different account specified other services running same process.

for dependent service:

for network list service following message

windows not start network list service service on local computer

error 1068 dependency service or group failed start

i have internet, network no longer showing , in network , internet in control panel says not connected network. have home network (verizon fios highspeed router , 4 extenders. plugged in cat5 extender)

i have not made changes registry.

do think can help?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
