Non-Aligned Display in Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

i have windows 10. changed monitor , used older monitor's vga cord longer. there little gap on top part, , taskbar on bottom sank same length of top gap. also, whole display screen moved left. total effect - display moved (sunk) around quarter of inch towards bottom-left side. there flickering line continually jumping in blank space on top.

how can fix alignment issue?

thank you.

hi marvin,

this issue screen alignment can due incompatible display driver. initial recommendation, suggest update display driver. keeping drivers up-to-date ensure quality performance of device. to update display driver, you'll need start pc in safe mode, uninstall current display adapter, , check driver updates. here's how:

  1. start pc in safe mode, right-click start  button , select device manager.
  2. expand display adapters section, right-click listed adapter, select uninstall device. select delete driver software device check box, select uninstall and restart pc.
  3. after pc restarts, press windows logo key  + i on keyboard open settings. if doesn't work, select start  button and select settings.
  4. from settings, select update & security > windows update > check updates.

once done updates, check if screen alignment normal.

should need additional assistance, let know.
