Drivers don't work and don't install. - Microsoft Community

hi.

so, i've been dealing problem month, now, it's starting little worse. 

my drivers not update, , of usb ports broken, , don't want take repair shop or anything, can suggest can do?

the problems range hdmi cable overheating, aforementioned usb ports broken, , fact drivers possibly 2 months old. further extends can not install windows updates.

please help, it's starting annoying, , i'd rather not buy new computer.

specs-

windows 10 (64-bit) used windows 8.1 before getting upgrade.

intel core i7 processor 4770 @ 3.340 ghz

nvidia geforce gtx 760 (192-bit) @ 1.5 gb (nvidia drivers can't install well.)

2tb hard drive (model st2000dm001-1er164, don't understand means...)

acer predator g3-605-ur1d motherboard

2 8gb ddr3 sdram pc3-12800 ram cards, kingston.

we'd more information regarding this, further check , provide more established resolution. please provided following information:

  • when last time able update drivers without encountering issues?
  • did make changes computer’s configuration prior issue?
  • what drivers you’re trying update?
  • are getting error messages?
  • are usb ports physically broken?

driver update windows 10 , many devices automatically downloaded , installed through windows update. can manually install through device manager. more information regarding updating drivers in windows 10, may check article.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
