screen brightness selection function disappeared from system and - Microsoft Community

laptop screen suddenly becomes stretched @ same time screen extremely bright. tried use keyboard screen brightness key control but both of them lose function. tried change display setting brightness function totally disappeared. please help!

when display settings changed, need check graphics driver. if there recent updates, computer's display gets affected. assist further, we'd know following:

  • what make , model of graphics driver or make , model of computer? if have laptop, can have 2 graphics cards. please provide both. know graphics driver, type device manager in cortana search bar , press enter. double-click display adapters.
  • were there changes, recent updates, , newly installed applications on device may have affected computer's display?
  • which version or build of windows device using? verify windows, press windows + r open run window. type winver , press enter. new window open showing version , build number of windows device.
  • have tried restarting computer or disconnecting vga/hdmi cables connecting monitor cpu?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
