Homegroup unexpectedly stops allowing access of files from the same - Microsoft Community


have 2 desktop , laptop on homegroup. same user account registered on both computers , both of them configured share music , printers , devices homegroup @ large. until user access of libraries either device. changed unexpectedly, , user can access libraries on other device shared homegroup @ large.  when attempts access other libraries, dialog boxes appear variously stating requested library unavailable, or permissions not allow access. there fix this?

having said that, please provide answers following able learn more concern:

  • is windows 10 operating system installed on 3 devices? if yes, updated?
  • what recent changes made before issue started?
  • have tried recreating homegroup?

in meantime, can run homegroup troubleshooter find , repair problems viewing computers or shared files in homegroup.

  1. right-click the start icon, select control panel.
  2. choose large icons option view drop down list found on upper-right part of control panel window.
  3. locate select troubleshooting.
  4. click view all left pane.
  5. locate , click homegroup to run troubleshooter follow next steps.
