it's shame, system had it's windows 10 updated , external speakers not working.

maybe it's time switch mac.

there lot of factors speaker won't work after update. 1 possibility outdated drivers. isolate matter, have questions you: 

  1. have tried updating drivers? 

  2. have tried using speakers device or pc? 

  3. aside have mentioned, there other changes made before issue occurred? 

  4. what troubleshooting steps have done far? 

we recommend perform these methods of troubleshooting , check if there changes: 

method 1: update drivers.

method 2: hardware , devices troubleshooter. 

to run troubleshooter, follow these steps: 

  1. on search bar, type troubleshooting and hit enter. 

  2. choose hardware , sound. 

  3. run the following troubleshooter: 

    • playing audio. 

    • hardware , devices. 

method 3: clean boot.     

to perform clean boot, click here.     

note: reset computer normal mode once done troubleshooting following section "how reset computer start after clean boot troubleshooting" from same article.
