dwm.exe keeps crashing on startup - Microsoft Community

help please.  dwm.exe keep crashing on startup point keep getting taken login screen, or computer freeze completely.  i've tried numerous fixes , nothing has permanently fixed issue.  i can seem start in 'enable boot logging' option, safe mode doesn't work me.  at first thought graphics card, i've tried disabling, updating , rolling back.  i've removed anti virus read had causing issue.  the weird thing of things i've tried have seem have worked on restart, until restart again , goes crashing.  any appreciated.

a third-party program conflict can reason error.  to determine appropriate troubleshooting steps, ask following questions:

  • what build , version of windows you’re using? check, type winver in search box , send screenshot of information window.
  • have made recent changes before encountered issue?

in meantime, recommend check article on how perform clean boot in windows. helps eliminate software conflict occurs when install program or update. may determine conflict causing issue performing method.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
