A new computer takes ages to shutdown! - Microsoft Community

hi,

i new windows user , got brand new hp pavilion laptop. went through set , tried shutdown computer first time.... normal process taking more 20 minutes? not computer master sure must wrong. advise?

congratulations on new computer. possible has installed updates upon shutting down since computer new. can tell see on screen during shutdown process? if can, post screenshot of can better grasp of situation.
