Windows 10 Update (1709) keeps failing & computer keeps - Microsoft Community

i have hp pavillion notebook , running windows 10, has started crash whenever try play games or load videos. thought updating windows 10 every time tries update fails. every phase yet after restart finish things when go update history says failed 10 times on history on same day. driver comes code 28 in other devices section , says unknown device says the drivers device not installed. (code 28) there no compatible drivers device , location of these drivers on microsoft acpi-compliant system , when go update drivers says can't find drivers believe may causing laptop crash.

hello,

code 28, mentioned in post, means driver not installed. resolution may have reinstall device driver manually. here's how:

  1. from start, search device manager, , select device manager from list of results.
  2. right-click device in list.
  3. select uninstall from menu appears.
  4. after device uninstalled, choose action on menu bar.
  5. select scan hardware changes to reinstall driver.

note: may prompted provide path of driver. if asked driver , not have it, may download latest driver hardware vendor's website.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
