Which is the correct setting for Manual proxy setup? - Microsoft Community

i have desktop , notebook , each has different setting settings>proxy>use proxy server - on/off.

is there correct or default one?  make difference?

the network settings in windows 10 proxy settings left in default disabled status. there no correct or wrong choice on default proxy setting status should be. status depend on applications or specific websites access require proxy settings turned on , manual configuration set. request few details assist in resolving concern asking questions below:

  • were there apps or websites prompted set specific proxy setting in windows 10?
  • which build , version of windows 10 installed on computer?
