Superfetch and Windows Search Question - Microsoft Community


my disk usage @ 100% time , made laptop slow, keep in mind brand new laptop well. searched online disabling super fetch , windows search resolve issue. disabled both , disk usage @ low percentages , laptop fast again.

i wondering if disabling these services bad , superfetch?

if want to enable superfetch any program add   /prefetch:1     to the program line in shortcut.

if using ssd or hybrid hard drive sure has latest firmware.

try clean boot method see if startup program involved - if

if had 3rd party antivirus on os upgraded or if you have one
uninstall , run maker's removal tool. use windows defender
in windows 8/8.1/10 full antivirus. despite all hype out there
windows defender , windows firewall are true superstars.

check system maker (motherboard maker custom systems) updates

drivers check system maker fallbacks , device maker's
most current. control panel - device manager - display adapter - write down
make and complete model of video adapter - double click - driver's
tab - write down the version info. click update driver (this may not
