Microsoft Edge super-slow after windows update Dec. 01 2017 - Microsoft Community

after update edge address bar/search bar has become slow can not used. if type in in address bar enters 1 character @ time every 3 seconds. when reach page, instance google ok in  google search bar.

i have tried reset everything, tried repair browser, , reset pc. can not find way re-install it, , nothing else has worked. suggestions?

hi,

it's odd microsoft edge on computer started acting after update on december 1, 2017 instead of experiencing better performance. software might have encountered sudden change in computer reason act slow. however, don't want assume yet until isolated concern. know mean "reset pc". reinstall microsoft edge, suggest follow steps provided by syed md bilal on october 22, 2015 @ link. 119 people found steps helpful.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
