Partial username being saved - Microsoft Community

so, issue have been having since upgraded windows 10, issue first 5 characters of name being saved windows 10, full name "sai raghu ram". windows keeps taking "saira" user name, can seen in both cmd , c:\users\. further administrator name set "saira". verified if name in microsoft account online correct. (ps: have purchased new laptop (hp omen 17 an010tx) comes windows 10 home , on old desktop, used media creation tool microsoft create iso , upgrade, issue present in both machines). if me out great. :d

if ever have reinstall windows set user accounts avoid -

• disconnect internet before starting installation,
• during final stages of installation, when asked create user account, create "local" user account i.e. not link msaccount,
  • call user account whatever want appear in c:\users [such sai if want see c:\users\sai],
  • give user account whatever password want overwrite [but note down make sure can enter correctly during setting phase],
• log , connect internet,
• go settings, accounts, info
• click on sign in microsoft account instead,
• follow procedure through convert "local" user account msaccount-linked user account.

i have focussed on issue raised not want bad influence. 

• i urge create 2 local password-protected admin accounts in addition user account intend use day-to-day computing. 
• this creates resilience future. 
• the procedure & explanations in 19th september 2017 post in change pc greeting name.
• you can now, not have wait reinstallation it.
