How do you want to open this file? - Microsoft Community

i screen says how want open file.  read how resolve , said run gpedit.msc.  have windows 10 home edition (build 15063.608).  how can around this?  want remove end-user notification new application associations.  there fix this?  far know applications associated.

if asking has either lost association or deliberately annoying asking information has [this can happen].

if how want open file dialog not allow set file association need use

settings, apps, default apps

or more flexible

start menu, windows system, control panel, {set view by small icons can see everything], default programs.

you not need gpedit referred [it exists on windows 10 pro, ent not home].
