Can't create wi-fi hotspot - Microsoft Community

i'm having trouble creating wi-fi hotspot from windows 10 laptop. says " we can't setup mobile hotspot".

laptop has wi-fi functionality , connected internet via ethernet connection. 

i have tried creating ad-hoc network via command prompt.

the "we can't setup mobile hotspot." error due incorrect settings or network conflicts. kindly verify if performed same troubleshooting in support article on how use pc mobile hotspot.

in meantime, suggest run network troubleshooter identify errors causing issue. can run network troubleshooter through settings app. here's how:

  1. click start, , go settings.
  2. click on network & internet.
  3. under change network settings, click on network troubleshooter.
  4. go through troubleshooter.
