Taskbar Hiding Behind Programs - Microsoft Community

hello!

my question concerns taskbar auto-hide option. found out option. works , not. let me explain.

it started few programs, such google chrome , word. when having these programs in full-screen, taskbar not pop though mouse hover on bottom of screen (where taskbar located). when minimize these programs 1 half of screen (see picture below), noticed taskbar pop up, although hiding behind these programs. have no idea how fix this.

i have tried pressing f11, manually opening taskbar pressing windows button or windows button + t can @ least go program, problem of taskbar hiding behind these programs , other programs remains.

hope knows solution problem!

notes: 

  • i use windows 10.
  • the taskbar auto-hide option works fine on laptop, reason not on pc.
  • i have checked pc malware/virus, clean.
  • i have tried closing programs in system tray well, no success.

hi tamara,

issue can due software conflicts. when start windows using normal startup operation, several apps , services start automatically, run in background. these applications , services can cause software conflicts.

we recommend performing clean boot resolve concern. clean boot process start windows using minimal set of drivers. select windows 10 under how perform clean boot in article.

once done, take time reading what next when have clean boot environment , how reset computer start after clean boot troubleshooting. see if helps resolve concern.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
