Headset Mics not detected - Microsoft Community

whenever plug in headset prompt comes asking type of device have plugged in, have tried headset , mic.  i have tried multiple headsets. plug them audio jack , sound comes through whenever try record attached mic laptops internal mic records instead of 1 on attached headset. have gone settings try , change mic pics audio, yet when option computers internal mic. why there no option mic on headset have plugged in?

  • is headset detected under device manager?
