Windows 10 Taask Scheduler Serive Unavailable 0x41303 - Microsoft Community

i have seen large number of posts issue, several forums, without clear answer.  virtually every thread seems devolve actual issue 1 trying troubleshoot problem task scheduler not running. hoping starting new thread might keep alive possible solution.

my issue:

need run batch file, shortly after logging desktop.  batch file runs "net stop", "timeout", "net start".  "net start" requires administrative rights run, requires right-clicking on batch file , choosing "run administrator".  tried adding batch file "startup" group, "net start" fails "access denied".  have no compatibility options batch files, shortcuts batch files, or executables under windows folder (i.e. - ..\system32\cmd.exe).

automate process setting scheduled task launch "on local connection user session", , choose "run highest privileges" option.  when supposed execute, dialog box stating -  scheduler service not available. task scheduler attempt reconnect it.  last run result - task has not yet run. (0x41303).

what have done , found, far:

  • this condition exists on new windows 10 home laptop
  • this condition exists on 2 year old windows 10 professional laptop
  • this condition exists on 4 year old desktop upgraded windows 8.1 professional windows 10, on domain.
  • the task scheduler service set automatic , running, grayed out.
  • net stop works command prompt, or without administrator privileges
  • net start requires administrator privileges start service.
  • i don't have compatibility options invoke administrative rights batch files, shortcuts, or cmd.exe

any ideas welcome!

hi,

the topic raised beyond scope of support site focuses more on home , personal end users. using batch files indicates little bit of programming background on end. might needing more advanced audience in terms of technical knowledge sort issue. suggest repost question technet forums for further assistance.

all best.
