accepting msn.com cookies required to use Windows? - Microsoft Community


environment: windows 10 pro on standalone business laptop.

each first login after feature update windows 10 installed pop-up "welcome to..." that asks me accept cookies website msn.com. design or there hidden adware running on computer?

on computer, cookies disabled, i checked msn.com is. appears kind of online tabloid gossip , sensation news, tv celebraties got pregnant or crashed ferrari. websites like that are loaded tracking cookies etc. no way going accept them.

the same pop-up appears when open new tab in edge. have set edge open new tab empty page!

(after every feature update check if edge has improved, favorites management , other ergonomic aspects still mediocre compared internet explorer, i'll keep using that.)

conflicts sign-in options after update 1 of possible reasons why receiving messages accept cookies msn.com website. suggest try steps below change sign-in options in windows 10:

  1. go settings > accounts > sign-in options.
  2. scroll down privacy , toggle off use sign-in info automatically finish setting device after update or restart.

if issue persists, suggest try running computer in clean boot. helps eliminate software conflicts occur when install program or update or when run program in windows 10.
