Change local account into administrator - Microsoft Community


my user account has been changed administrator local account , unable change it.

please me

whenever try change various methods it show dialogue box ask admin user name , password there no box enter details.

so can do?

how change local account administrator.

i had uses these methods change -

  • by run command controlpasswords2
  • by cmd command prompt
  • by user accounts

but every shows dialogue box. pressed tab key box moves between option of "no" , "show more details".

we appreciate providing these necessary information. have way on how change local account user administrator account. please follow steps provided below:

  • press windows key + i open settings app.
  • click accounts.
  • click family & other people.
  • under other people, select user account, , click change account type.
  • under account type, select administrator drop down menu.
  • click ok complete task.

note: if using administrator account, use same instructions change type standard user account.

let know in case encounter issue while following steps provided.
