try this. on win10, go c:\users\public
1. right click public , select give access , check sharing options in network , sharing.
lets facts straight. windows 10 problem. since day 1 of windows 10, there has been issues showing computers in network folder. these icons access other computers on network share public files , folders. setting shared setting mentioned do. would in "private", turn on network discovery, turn on file , printer sharing, , allow windows manage home group. in "guest or public" select turn on network discovery , turn on file , printer sharing. in "all networks", turn on sharing anybody, use 128bit, , turn off password protected sharing. "these setting public sharing , not home group settings. home group setting after enter password , join home group , there settings sharing out of personal folders of music, docs, videos, pics , printers. home group media device sharing , there settings in home group.
2. right click public , select properties, select sharing tab, select share , in new box make sure shows "everyone" , can read , write. if not in list, click arrow add everyone. select , select share on bottom.
reboot modem , restart computers.
