Can't close laptop without monitor sleeping. - Microsoft Community

when close lid laptop in docking station, external monitor goes sleep.  

hi carol,

a factor why laptop goes sleep when close lid due configuration of power settings. configure power settings nothing when close lid, follow steps below:

  1. press windows key + r > type powercfg.cpl in box > hit ok.
  2. from left side panel, select choose closing lid does > under power button , lid settings set options beside when close lid: on battery , plugged in do nothing.
  3. click save changes.

I lose Bluetooth audio whenever I connect to Wifi - Microsoft Community
