Windows 10 Update 1709 and ATI display driver issue - Microsoft Community

i have older desktop system includes radeon 4670 display adapter.  system windows 7, updated windows 8 , later windows 10 upgrades became available.  have 2 monitors on system have been using in extended desktop mode past year.

my wife noticed other morning text , icons appeared bigger had been used to, , noticed second monitor no longer extended clone of other desktop.  tried variety of things in display settings have detect , change options, appeared options had gone away.

i took @ windows update , there creator's update available had not installed.  system set update automatically.  manually started install, seemed in loop of "downloading", "preparing", , "installing", never seemed complete.  more technical son found article windows update , found way download full update , make install.

after installing still found impossible change display settings, still same.  attempting download updated display drivers tells drivers date.  son did looking around , found others experiencing same issue since creators update.  , doesn't appear can force windows 10 use specific drivers downloaded ati.

is there fix this?  fix coming soon?  mine older display adapter...is there more modern adapter capable 4670 not broken under update?

volunteers willing try resolve issue.

yes, there problem latest windows updates.

right click start button - device manager - display adapter - double-click adapter - driver's tab - use roll driver.

if not work or unavailable below.

updating latest video driver or possibly reverting older version corrects issue.

download latest , other older driver wish try system/motherboard maker's site , check actual video device maker (such intel, nvidia or amd/ati). not install yet.

make restore point :

start - type in --> restore ......... find @ top , click on - use create

use method remove present video drivers.

display driver uninstaller

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
