Windows 10 Home edition Constantly crashing my laptop under the guise - Microsoft Community

i bought dell inspiron 3531 laptop windows 8.1 couple of years ago. kept getting prompts microsoft upgrade free windows 10. didn't want because windows 8.1 working fine flawless , happy it. constant bombardment microsoft upgrade gave in , upgraded windows 10.

it worse decision ever made. after disruption in works began. working on important things , windows cut me of , show blue background assuring me of gone wrong system , microsoft fixing it.

i thought maybe updates , should solve problem didn’t. continued shutting down while in middle of doing important work , return blue background promising fixing problem , restarting system stay way long time though said 100% fixed, never restarted had use power button restart laptop.

i tried reset original factory os  but didn't know how or do. confusing , warnings of loosing important files ignore gave hoping continued updates fix problem still haven’t. working on laptop was no more fun, didn’t forward used to.

and worse happened last week. doing important work client of mine , again usual without warning system shut down desktop , went repair mode blue background again fix something. had saved work wasn’t worried frustrated have go through several times day, week , month.  don't understand why repeating same thing on , on again? surely should done if really being fixed. i turned power of in frustration. lifted laptop put away can use old pc, slow reliable.

but when lifted the laptop put away heard funny noise coming inside loose screws. said oh no, there loose screws, maybe that’s why laptop not functioning properly. ask friend check me wasn’t around removed bottom chassis myself , began shaking laptop hoping screws come out. thing came out pieces of broken plastic. noise/sound gone , put bottom , powered on computer shock reporting error, problem. “no hard drive or operating system found….”

i realized had damaged 500gb hard drive came laptop, had shaken laptop hard in attempt rid of loose screws damaged hdd set me @ least £50. not have lost important files, clients works , backups , important photos our website, etc.

a friend gave me 160 gb hdd use temporary. went dell website os iso image laptop couldn’t 1 laptop have excuses. looked microsoft help. downloaded windows 8.1 can’t install because don’t have product key. dell has no product key either i’m stuck.

i can’t blame microsoft upgrade still under development , not yet perfect customer use. has turned world upside down , i’m frustrated , angry forcing, yes forcing customers upgrade os causes more problem improves things, causing lot of frustration. advice stick windows 7 or windows 8.1 , stay away windows 10.
