Playback Devices Not Available - Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

all device drivers working properly. bluetooth paired correctly. devices greyed out in sound>>playback - available speaker default pc speaker.

i've tried fixes can find - no avail - there ms can suggest make os work?

it can't handle open office either - have work around that.

when bought pc major computer sales chain, sales assistant apologised not being able offer alternative os.

how bad os have before sales staff start apologising it?

windows 10 still relatively new, , has improved since first shocked how inflexible is, if things don't improve, i'm not buying again.

i appreciate answer enable me use personal computer personal computer, i.e. things it, , choose through sound device listen music.

your concern playback devices can due sound configuration on device. better understand concern, we'd know following:

  • the last activities performed on device prior concern.
  • the version , build of windows 10 you're using on device. check this, can perform steps posted on link.

in addition, we'd request screenshot of playback tab under sound.

in meantime, we'd recommend performing following check status of items listed in playback tab:

  1. right-click on greyed out item.
  2. see if enable option available. if yes, click on activate item.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
