My Laptop Got Stuck in Boot Menu - Microsoft Community


my laptop had bsod issue , went out.

when tried boot again, got stuck in boot menu(screenshot below).

1. first tried repair using usb drive created using media creation tool microsoft,

but nothing worked.(i heard usb 3.0 may fail, used usb 2.0)

system restore ->

to use system restore, must specify windows installation restore.

restart computer, select operating system, , select system restore.

system image recovery ->

windows cannot find system image on computer

startup repair ->

startup repair couldn't repair  pc.

go previous version ->

we ran problem , won't able take previous version of windows.

try resetting pc instead.

command prompt ->

  • sfc /scannow -> windows resource protection did not find integrity violations.
  • dism /image /cleanup-image /restorehealth -> /image option missing required argument
  • diskpart -> select disk 0 -> clean -> create partition primary ->

diskpart has encountered error: request not performed because of i/o device error.

  • bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd -> total identified windows installations: 0
  • bootrec.exe /fixmbr -> device attached system not functioning.
  • bootrec.exe /fixboot -> device attached system not functioning.
  • chkdsk /f -> cannot lock current drive. windows cannot run disk checking on volume because write protected.

2. tried reinstall windows.

upgrade -> upgrade option isn't available if start computer using windows installation media.

install windows ->

drive 0 unallocated space(i puzzled see partitions got wiped out) -> 

we couldn't install windows in location chose. please check media drive. here's

more info happened: 0x80300002.

new(create new partition) -> couldn't create new partition. [error: 0x93cfb7f0]

-> mentioned above, tried diskpart in command prompt, failed.

i thought format & reinstall answer everything,

but turns out fail sometimes.

what should now? kind of hardware-related issue?
