hi ray. i'm greg, volunteer installation specialist , 8 year windows mvp, here you.
there error or other recognition of mouse when plug in receiver? try usb ports.
if mouse works in safe mode software of driver conflict: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-saf...
see step 4 in checklist turn off freeloaders @ startup..http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki... windows needs start windows.
otherwise open device manager (right click start button) right click mouse, choose uninstall. press ctrl alt del blue screen, tab power icon in bottom right corner, press enter, arrow down restart, press enter. restarting pc should reinstall driver.
if still doesn't work try usb port isn't usb3 identifiable blue inside port.
if no other usb port works, expand usb category in dev mgr, choose each enhanced , 3.0 extensible host controller uninstall right click menu. again tab power icon ti restart.
if these fail try hardware troubleshooter @ settings>update & security>troubleshoot while mouse/receiver s plugged in.
hope helps. feel free ask questions , let know how goes. keep working until it's resolved.
