Laggy and freezing computer, update error message, and Windows backup - Microsoft Community

so i've been experiencing issues hp laptop since tuesday, august 2nd.

it started when (and can't copy , paste message action center has disappeared reason) display driver apparently unable start when turned laptop on , windows backup driver used instead. cue computer freezing, both chrome window taskbar.

then updates installed. no change; laptop kept freezing often, both taskbar , chrome window being affected. in addition, groove music began mess up; first song or 2 play fine, second or third song, stopping in middle of song, reloading, , freezing.

i thought maybe there update needed installing, checked , there was. go install , this:

microsoft .net framework 4.7 windows 10 version 1607 , windows server 2016 x64 (kb3186568) - error 0x8007045d

i downloaded windows update troubleshooter , though says fixed issues, update still unable download , laptop still afflicted aforementioned issues.

i decided full scan of computer; ccleaner, avast, spybot, , malwarebytes. got ccleaner , malwarebytes update , scan, both avast , spybot froze updating (which has never happened me before). when unfroze, avast needed me restart computer did. cue hp load screen when laptop first turns on staying hour before getting lockscreen , sign in page (after had hard turned off computer few times load screen going nowhere).

i got in, got spybot , avast scan , afterwards, although groove music still having issue, other issue experiencing computer being little laggy. slow, not , wasn't freezing happy. log on today , issues have returned.

a low disk space, hardware driver issue, , conflict other software common reasons computer freeze. isolation purposes, suggest start computer in safe mode doing steps in article. remove not necessary windows launch know default settings , basic device drivers aren't causing conflicts.

you can perform clean boot using steps here. exclude third-party software might causing computer hang.

once able in, can run system file checker , deployment image servicing , management which scan of important windows files on computer , replace them necessary. steps listed here.
