keyboard issues on Windows - Microsoft Community

i moved uk  couple of months ago. in wireless keyboard worked fine.

two months later, shift key wont work, think types in capitals , when press space bar, put space in, reduces volume instead.

i'm not sure transatlantic move relevant.

any thoughts?

hi nat -

try running keyboard troubleshooter @ settings>update & security>troubleshoot.

if isn't sufficient right click start open device manager, expand keyboard, choose update tab, uninstall driver, apply , restart pc using mouse chose start button, power icon restart.

if fails go on checklist make sure install set correctly, optimized best performance, , needed repairs done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

steps lead if necessary installing media creation tool upgrade running in-place upgrade on install same repair install. if want wait until oct 17th, latest fall creators version update released , loaded in mct can update newest version (which need anyway) @ same time repair install. solves many problems.
