Camera App not communicating to webcam - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have hp spectre x360 running windows 10 home (v 1703, os build 15063.632). built-in webcam hp truevision fhd rgb-ir. 

problem i'm experiencing webcam seems working apps (youcam , zoom) while not working windows native apps (camera app , skype). when open camera or skype, see black screen. however, on apps zoom , youcam, camera works because see live image of myself in app.

i've updated driver webcam, , uninstalled , re-installed device. when open skype, light not come on next webcam, indicating guess app not accessing webcam way should be. think it's weird seems problem microsoft software.

i'm not sure other information helpful provide resolve problem i'm having, if has guesses might try squared away, awesome.
