Stuck in Command Prompt - Microsoft Community

hi,

 

i wanted run command 'bootrec /fixmbr'


i did follwing steps:


choose option - troubleshoot - advanced options - command prompt

 

i did steps until command prompt, @ command prompt got error message “ need sign in as…….but there aren’t administrator account on pc”. laptop stuck @ step. restarted few times , turned on in command prompt.

i found on microsoft community me didn't work. did first step , turned on directly in command prompt. 

follow below steps:-

1)    press shift and restart from power icon (together)

2)    select troubleshoot.

3)    go to advanced options.

4)    select command prompt.

5)    type "net user administrator /active:yes"

6)    hit enter.

 

how can fix in order use laptop?

1 reason why you're unable run command prompt on computer there might third party software causing conflict it. assist you, suggest start pc in safe mode. isolate issue , determine if issue still occurs if pc in safe mode. here's article can visit see how start pc in safe mode.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
