Problems with Wifi [Hardware Issue?] Cannot detect even - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have problem detecting wireless networks on surface pro 3 while using wifi usb stick ( ew-7811un ).

i have tried following:

- uninstalling drivers marvell network adapter.

- updating marvell software manually under browse computer option.

- uninstalling wireless usb adapter , re-installing.

not sure why after wifi fails i'm unable connect through wifi usb.

besides doing full recovery, other options?

another issue when try manually update sp3, running windows update .msi files [surfacepro3_win10 . . . .msi] not install , leads setup wizard ending prematurely.

ex) "surfacepro update 17_037_02 (64 bit) setup wizard ended

prematurely because of error. system has not been

modified. install program @ later time, run setup

wizard again. click finish button exit setup wizard."

any appreciated. in advance.

hi pan,

what experiencing can caused variety of hardware, firmware, driver, or software issues. examples system files , device drivers corruption.

for isolate issue , provide appropriate resolution, kindly answer questions below:

  • were there changes made on devices (pc, router/access point) prior issue?
  • were there error messages when tried detecting wireless network?
  • is issue isolated on surface pro 3?
  • do have other wi-fi devices connected on wi-fi network?

looking forward response.
