Windows 10 very slow after roll-back from Fall Creators' Update - Microsoft Community

i installed new creators update on laptop update caused many of programs not work or crash repeatedly. did roll-back of update , found out laptop running , wasn't before update.

i attempted dism image restore scan didn't work, saying need source. upon giving source still continued not work after checking path correct (which was). however, when looking @ logs found out had files belonging windows creators update though running previous version of windows.

this means have files correct version of windows , files don't match current version of windows.

what do? creators update deleted of restore points can't go that!

thanks in advance,

louis

update on issue:

after days of looking solutions online, decided attempt reinstall new creators' update. update went smoothly but, when looking @ task manager, cpu pinned @ 100% whole time using pc. due many instances of "svchost.exe" being open.

this led me believe problem slowdown caused something wrong 1 of services running on computer.

i opened services list , found 1 process still in "starting" state after computer had been on half hour. disabled service , set start-up setting manual instead of automatic. resolved problem of having 100% cpu usage.

the service caused called "internet connection sharing (ics)" if having same issue having @ services list , check isn't stuck in "starting" state. if is, did , set start-up type "manual", click apply , restart pc.

i hope helped someone,

louis
