Public WiFi login screens won't load on Windows 10 laptop. - Microsoft Community

i using new asus laptop came installed windows 10, , can find no redeeming features operating system whatsoever. os takes on 15gb of 30gb hdd, have barely used thing , running out of space. choc full of "apps" of 0 use , interest me. latest problem frustrating sell organs return windows 7 or xp or 98 or 95...

basically cannot use public wifi anywhere because login/confirmation screens won't load in browser, system hijacks browser security nonsense. i've turned off firewall, made sure allow need within browser settings, , still nothing works. sort of problem, if happens on other platform, simple fix. nothing seems make difference in windows 10. don't have third party security software installed, there no obvious cause of problem. serious problem because windows 10 computer frankly useless me until sorted out.

also, computer keeps asking me check security settings ahead of "creators update". dear microsoft, want computer working way need use it, , unless update plans allow me going start learning can linux.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
