i've started seeing following error "atapi" message appear within system event viewer.
the driver detected controller error on \device\ide\ideport5
i suspect may boot drive, i'm seeing :
the io operation @ logical block address 0xe352880 disk 2 (pdo name: \device\ide\idedevicep5t0l0-9) retried.
but above message warning, , doesnt occur @ same frequency "atapi" errors. how can double check drive impacted - or assumption correct, based upon disk management shows "disk 2" c: drive (boot). actual drive sata ssd.
i tried error check disk's properties -> tools menu, didn't detect - should have ? , whilst running, no further errors recorded within system event log.
is there anyway can clone boot drive entirely onto drive , switch them around ?
or need backup, reinstall windows 10 , restore backup on fresh installation ?
incidentally, i'm doing backup anyway using "backup , restore (windows 7)" function. 1 thing however, windows defender antivirus maxed out - surely should not contending resources system backup ?
thanks in advance,
